Ayan children's picture books
The Books are meant for 7 to 11 year olds, and feature 8 year old Ayan in the lead.
Ayan and her mother, Aaali, live in a remote village called Yaredu. Set on the banks of a river, and surrounded by cliffs, their home is in the middle of thick jungle, where they earn a living by grazing goats.
Ayan loves animals and is often drawn into rescue missions to save them from Magul, the demon, and her two underlings, Turku and Tarki. The demons exploit animals for their hides and enjoy being mean just to see them cry.
Early Work
Most of these illustrations date back to 2015, and early attempts at Photoshop. They involve using wet and dry brushes on textured surfaces. Themes may appear outlandish, but they promised to let the mind fly.
