Will I have to pay VAT (Value Added Tax)?

• UK Customers: VAT is typically included in the price for orders under £135. For orders above this amount, you may be charged VAT and customs duties by the carrier before delivery.

• EU Customers: For orders under €150, VAT is usually collected at checkout. For orders over €150, VAT and customs duties may be applied at the border. 

Will I be charged import duties?

Because we fulfill most orders within the UK and EU (via facilities in the UK, Spain, and Latvia), most domestic orders do not incur import duties. If an item must be shipped from a facility outside your region (e.g., a specific product only available in the US), duties may apply for orders exceeding the thresholds mentioned above. 

How are these charges paid?

If your order is subject to customs fees, the shipping carrier (such as Royal Mail, DHL, or DPD) will contact you directly via email or text to arrange payment before your package is released for final delivery. 

Why was I charged VAT if the item is shipped locally?

VAT is a consumption tax required by law for goods sold within the UK and EU. Even if the item is printed in your home country, we are required to collect and remit this tax to the local government.

Order Fulfillment & Production

All our products are made-to-order. We work with a global fulfillment partner, Printful.com, with facilities in the USA, UK, European Union, Canada, and Australia. Your order will automatically be routed to the nearest available facility to ensure the fastest delivery.

• Production Time: Most items are printed and ready to ship within 2–5 business days.

• Tracking: You will receive a tracking link via email as soon as your order is dispatched.

Estimated Shipping Times

Shipping times depend on your location and the product's proximity to our fulfillment centers.

• USA: 3–8 business days.

• UK: 2–5 business days.

• Europe & EEA: 3–10 business days.

• Canada: 5–12 business days.

• Australia & New Zealand: 7–14 business days.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the type of product and your delivery address. We offer standard shipping as our default method to keep costs low.

Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Because we fulfill locally in the US, UK, EU, and Canada, most domestic orders in these regions will not incur import duties.

• International Orders: For countries outside our major fulfillment hubs, or if a specific item must ship from abroad, your order may be subject to import duties or VAT upon arrival. These charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Order Issues & Support

• Incomplete/Incorrect Address: We are not responsible for orders sent to an incorrect address provided by the customer.

• Lost/Damaged Orders: If your order hasn't arrived within the estimated timeframe or arrives damaged, please contact us at SongbirdHut@gmail.com within 30 days of the estimated delivery date.

Thank you for shopping at Songbird Hut LLC. Because our items are produced on-demand by our partner, Printful.com, specifically for you, we cannot accept returns for change of mind, incorrect size choices, or ordering errors.

1. Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or misprinted, we are happy to replace it at no cost to you.

• Timeframe: You must contact us within 7 days of delivery.

• Proof: Please send an email to SongbirdHut@gmail.com with your order number and clear photos/videos showing the damage or printing defect.

2. Incorrect Orders

If you receive the wrong print, size, or framing option, please notify us within 3 days of delivery, and we will arrange a replacement.

3. Returns

Due to the custom nature of our products, items do not need to be returned to us. If a replacement is approved, we will process it immediately.

4. Refunds

Refunds are only issued for damaged or defective items if a replacement cannot be provided. Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 5 business days.

5. Shipping

Shipping costs are non-refundable unless the return is due to an error on our part.
